LETTAS KRAAL is situated in the heart of the Little Karoo, is a family owned farm that lies 35 kilometers south east of Touwsriver in the Western Cape.

This wonderful Karoo farmland offers award winning extra virgin olive oil, an equine quarantine stopover facility and farm-style self-catering accommodation… all in one place.

After taking ownership of the farm estate in 1996, the Roodt family rooted their first stand of olive trees in 1999. By 2012, the extra virgin olive oil won the first of two gold medals by SA Olive Association standards. The olives are hand picked and pressed on the farm and is supplied locally through a farm-to-table initiative, ensuring that our clients get the freshest extra virgin olive oil available to the South African market. Quality and care defines the product.

In 2015, the equine quarantine facility was established. Lettas Kraal falls in a non-horse sickness region within South African borders. The reason for it’s uniqueness is that the farm is situated only 200 kilometers from Cape Town and its surrounds, making it perfect for a short trip for owners to visit their horses. Accommodation is also available for booking, should you wish to stay over. With vector protected stabling and full spectrum of normal livery services, the stables are under full time management and care of an experienced quarantine facility manager.
